@Gewerd-Strauss here is my implementation of a custom view that enables pagination (load more) and limit. There is quite a lot more going on, since I am also rendering a specific view for my own purposes, but the code could easily be used for loading dataview content of any type. The main issues with pagination in this solution is that there is no state saved between views, so navigating away from the page and then back again resets the view to the first page.

I would definitely second this, a page function would help with larger sets of data and would help limit the size of tables a lot better. I would love to see this implemented.
