Find biggest number in array (?) of frontmatter variables?

I have book database with one frontmatter variable Pages: 123.

I use dv.paragraph to output a bunch of information about the books, such as

       pagesum += dv.pages('"Book Log/2022"')[i].Pages;

dv.paragraph("# Average book length: " + (pagesum / BookCount).toFixed() + " pages")

to get the average length of books in pages. This outputs something like this:

Now I'd like dataviewjs to figure out which is the longest book I have in my database and render that in a similar fashion, e.g. that it tells me the page number and the title of the book or whatever. Unfortunately javascript is beyond my capabilities.

I've tried looking it up, but can't figure it out. I tried something like:

let pagebiggest = [dv.pages('"Book Log/2022"')[i].Pages]
pagebiggest.forEach((element) => {
  console.log(element);
});

and can't figure out what to do next. The examples online seem to be using numbers that are given in parentheses, whereas I'd like the program to get those numbers from the page numbers in the frontmatter of the notes.

Any ideas?

Is JS necessary? Seems fairly doable via DQL as we have a max function.

How do you mean?
If I put e.g.

Oh we used an aggregate function, no wonder! Given that your use case is that you want to list a single book that has the highest page count, abandon the group by idea and instead, to your original query, add limit 1.

E.g. table field from "source" sort field desc limit 1
