How can you add comments to dataview queries?

I wasn't able to find this so posting here:

I have some increasingly complicated Dataview queries (for my skill level) and as a developer, I'd like to add some comments for Future Me to understand what I was thinking.

Example:

LIST
  FROM #some_tag                           // Comment as to why I want this tag
  AND #another_tag
  AND -#not_this_tag
  AND !"NotThisFolder"
WHERE file.name != this.file.name.    // I added this to avoid listing this file in it's own output
SORT DESC

This isn't possible at the moment but should be relatively easy to add if you wish to attempt it. I can provide some guidance.

The other option is to wait for the successor plugin called datacore, which may add support for this.

The query language is defined here and we basically need to add an optional comment clause that can appear anywhere. Now that I think of it, my parsing fundamentals have weakened quite a bit and I don't see a way of neatly fitting it into the language. Perhaps we should check parsimmon's docs for ideas and hopefully the author also steps in to share some ideas as well.

Beyond this, I'm assuming you're familiar enough with the ecosystem that you can get the dev env up and running. If not, let me know.
