Templates?

I figured the previous issue using some quick fixes.

But I have an idea:

• Would it be a good idea to have templates for most commonly used functions of dataview?
• this should avoid Q&A + iincrease adoption... I hope

By templates, do you mean something that effectively executes an entire query for you?

Yes.

I think for things like pulling tasks that are pending etc from a folder

Or one step further, whereby you can have one to create moc on a topic with different ways to sort or group

Essentially, template queries that exemplify how one can use dataview within Obsidian. Within a topic, it could share a simple example to the most complex example, showing how to use the functionality.

I am trying to run the following query. Process and GQV are fields defined in the YAML but unfortunately they dont get sorted as I would expect when I run the below query. The fields for Process are missing...

It's rows.Process - when you do a GROUP BY, it puts all of the pages that match into an array called rows, which you then index into to get values.

This would be one good example of how Notion enables templates ... would be great if we can do that in dataview
