Can't get endswith to work with file.name

I must be misunderstanding something about how endswith works because I can't get the most simple usage working.

Here's what I'm trying:

list where !endswith(file.name, "- Links") 

Which returns no results. If I remove the !, it still returns 0 results, which really seems confusing to me.

In contrast, I found that I can do what I need with regexmatch

list where !regexmatch(".+- Links", file.name) 

But what am I missing here about endswith?

If anyone can provide guidance, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Have you tried - Links.md? I'm not at a computer so can't test, but I'd expect the file name to include the extension.

Thanks for the suggestion! Still 0 results, though. If file.name included .md then the regexmatch wouldn't work, but it does. And if I print out file.name in the query, it doesn't have .md

list file.name where regexmatch(".+- Links", file.name) 

Shows file names without .md.

That makes sense, as that regex is just looking for anything that has (some chars)- Links.

I just tried my own experiment with endswith (both with and without negation) and it is working as expected for me. Do you have an example vault I could try?

Oh, and it does appear that file.name does not include the extension, so my initial guess was incorrect.

Whoops. Sorry, I thought I had the plugin was relatively up to date, but I was on an old version. I just updated it, and the query works. Sorry for the noise!
