Table of headers from file

Hi,

Is it possible to create a table based on header links rather than file links?

Conceptually one or more md files with entries like this:

Which has the following metadata (from $=dv.span(dv.current())):

Where I would like to create a dataview table with the following structure

Link to section	Text	Task	Value
[[Untitled > Header1]]	Description1	task 1	10
[[Untitled > Header2]]	Description2	task 2	20

or is that not possible at this time?

Ah this is rather troublesome. Each task value doesn't "belong" to its header and it instead becomes array. Task looks like [task1, task2] and can be tricky to "map" that to the right header, if that makes sense. However, this is doable with some DataviewJS.

I have many uses for this so if it is possible to create a generic dataviewjs script it would help a lot.

I found below discussion which seem relevant, but as JLDiaz mentions it may be brittle and prone to errors when data entries are incomplete

I appear to be mistaken. I didn't read this properly earlier. Try listing the tasks and grouping by file.tasks.section.

Listing the value is still difficult. The way tasks work as of 0.4.26 is that they have to be listed using the tasks query. Putting them in a table means that the task checking behavior is lost. However, if the checkbox behavior isn't critical, this should be doable via dql.

The tasks are not really used as tasks but seem to be the only way to get section/header metadata.

Status: Complete
"Details not stored in variable and not shown in dataview"

And essentially use dataview as a table of content including short description and status with a link to the section with further details.
