Choice of QNAP NAS

Dear all,

I would like to install Frigate to manage my:
1x thermal camera HikVision 4MP
1x camera 4MP HikVision
3x camera 8MP HikVision

using the motion detection integrated on Frigate.

I own a QNAP T231P base on 32bit processor and I am afraid that it will not be enough to run Frigate.

I might consider to buy a new nas. Could you please tell me exactly which model should I buy and accessories? For exampe I see that I can been the google coral M2.

In alternative, do you think that I can use my current T231P?

I have seen that there are some discussions about QNAP but they are quite dated.

Did you manage to install it on the QNAP?
I managed to install it but it is sooooo slow.

I have a QNAP NAS TVS-H474.
Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to get one.
I threw out the factory CPU (https://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?t=169162). I think I had 21GB of memory at home. You'll need at least an integrated GPU in the Intel processor to run Frigate. (effectively)
Initially, QuTS hero ran on the NAS. Frigate in Docker, Homeassistant on a Qnap VM. The system was very restrictive, I didn't like it. I installed Ubuntu Server on it. I also put a Qnap Tr-004 on USB3 next to it.
It will take 8 4k Reolink cameras. If I were to do it today, I wouldn't choose a QNAP NAS for this purpose. Especially not the ones today that don't have an Intel CPU. In principle, you can put a dedicated GPU in them, but I have no experience with this.
I use a USB google coral, it runs fine on it. A quality cable is important

I got it working on my QNAP TA-932PX but as you said is so slow. I am thinking of getting a Coral TPU on usb.
