Describe the problem you are having

After switching to 17.0rc2 and switching LPR model from large to small, i am getting 4000ms detection when previously it was about 300ms.

As noted in the release notes for 0.17 beta, the LPR models have been upgraded. I'd suggest setting device: CPU in your lpr config. Your older iGPU just may have more difficulty running a more complex model, and there is often little to no advantage to running the LPR models on GPUs in most cases.

You can still run the large model if you'd prefer, which is the same model as the large model in 0.16 - though this is now less accurate than the small model in 0.17.
