[Bug]: Next/Previous Tracked Object arrows don't appear if Tracked Object Details window opens to Tracking Details view #22383
-
Checklist
Describe the problem you are havingForgive the rather wordy title but I wanted to accurately set the scene! As per the screenshot showing the viewing of a Tracked Object from the Explore page, I have noticed that the next/previous arrows do not appear if the Tracked Object Details window opens in the Tracking Details view. The arrows do however appear if the window opens in Thumbnail view, or after a 'Tracking Details->Thumbnail->Tracking Details' toggle is performed.

Based on the available sources, the next/previous navigation arrows in the Tracked Object Details view should work when you're in Grid view(1). The arrow keys on your keyboard can be used to navigate between tracked objects when viewing the grid(1). The behavior you're describing - where the arrows don't appear when the Tracked Object Details window opens directly to the Tracking Details view - isn't specifically documented in the available sources. However, the sources confirm that navigation between tracked objects is designed to work in Grid view(1). To work around this issue, you can ensure you're in Grid view before opening tracked object details. When you open the Explore view, click on one of the arrows or add a filter to open the full grid view before the keyboard shortcut will work(1). For this specific UI behavior where arrows disappear based on which tab is active when opening the details window, you may want to visit GitHub to report this as a potential bug. 📚 Sources: Have another question? Aaagh, and I'd really tried to make sure it hadn't been previously discovered! Admittedly I hadn't checked the PRs. Thank you (and everyone else involved) for the efforts you put into this amazing tool. I'm only a few days in but have been blown away by it, and after 19(!) years with Zoneminder I know I've found a new home. |
