Is it possible to locally edit a gitlab project using blink and code?

Is it possible to checkout/edit/commit gitlab projects using blink & code? The git integration seems hardwired to github.

Blink Code is just a wrapper over VS Code versions - by default it is vscode.dev, but then you can make the jump to Codespaces and others. There is no way at the moment to edit code locally and offline with just Blink. But as you have already pointed out (#2122), Blink Build can help you out.
