Swift test font support

Hi, sorry for what’s likely a beginner question but when I run swift test and it shows the checkmarks for tests passed etc, they’re extended symbols aren’t displaying for me (screenshot attached)

I’ve tried switching to a font in settings that has the word ‘nerd’ in it, and opening a new tab but this hasn’t helped. I’ve also tried downloading Fira Code Nerd font from the gallery and that’s not helped either.

Does swift use characters that aren’t part of this set or am I doing something wrong? I’ve been opening new tabs which I gather should apply the new font choice, and also tried killing & restarting Blink in case it needed that.

Any help would be appreciated.

I’ve done a hexdump of the output from swift test in case it helps with seeing which characters are displayed specially on the mac that aren’t on my Blink setup:

Further update: Blink displays the checkmarks and crosses just fine if I ssh to a Linux computer instead of my mac:

So that has me thinking it’s a terminal configuration issue, perhaps on the mac side?
