Blink on iPad - VS Code - RoR

Hello, I am very new to Blink and currently on free trial trying to explore it.

So my setup is Macbook as my host - iPad through Blink remoting the host via SSH

I was able to connect to the host and code in VS code but my problem is that when I try to search for files, it just loads forever. Note that Blink FS is installed and I am able to navigate and open files but searching for a file is not working.

Is this a Blink limitation? Or free trial limitation?

This is a VS Code limitation when being used through VSCode.dev. There are a bunch of ways to run VS Code through Blink, and when you use VSCode.dev + BlinkFS (SFTP), which is fantastic for quick edits or for underpowered devices, but with very limited functionality.

I would recommend that you use a "code tunnel" instead, and then connect to it using "code <tunnel_url>". That would give you a full blown VS Code running on the remote machine, but connecting through Blink.
