I have local docker volume enabled and I setup two docker container monitors. The state just remains at "pending".

Same here. Receiving the following error in the logs.

2025-01-18T21:02:34.769Z error: [NetworkService](requestDocker) connect EACCES /var/run/docker.sock (details: Error processing job 7: connect EACCES /var/run/docker.sock)

It appears the container may not have access to the Docker socket.

@Ocean75 sounds like that's the case, you need to expose your docker daemon in order for Checkmate to use it to monitor containers

Thank you, it worked perfectly using https://github.com/Tecnativa/docker-socket-proxy to expose the socket to Checkmate.

I'm using docker-socket-proxy but I also mounted the docker volume. But maybe that's why it's not working. Can you tell me how you configured it and the monitor to get it to monitor a docker container?

Try removing the Docker volume and add an environmental DOCKER_HOST=tcp://docker-socket-proxy:2375 variable to the 'server' container.

For the monitor, use the container ID. You can find the ID by running docker ps.

Of course! Thanks. That works for me now too. How might one allow for multiple hosts? So the docker proxy on multiple servers and allowing Checkmate to check containers on them?

I'm not sure; I haven't gotten that far yet in testing the application. I would assume the 'Capture' container may need to be rewritten to accept Docker containers.

By adding user: : to the server compose and read_only: true I was able to get container monitoring working without docker socket proxy.
