Seems like your Docker daemon runs on a different machine? Have you tried connecting via HTTPS?

@bmuschko Please update the shaded docker-java dependency to 3.5.0, as it includes critical fixes for Unix socket failures with Docker Engine 28.x ( docker-java/docker-java#2363 ). Patch: docker-java/docker-java#2364
This resolves Broken pipe and Connection reset by peer errors when building images on recent Docker Desktop / WSL2 setups.
