In the documentation you mention that Stripe library can be updated.
I'm looking at the composer outdated response and i see that the library is 6 versions back.

Direct dependencies required in composer.json:

stripe/stripe-php                 13.18.0 / 19.3.0 Stripe PHP Library

It seems a big jump for such a recent app. Will updating to the latest break things?

Why do you need to upgrade? Klub does not need any of these new features and 13.18 is perfectly stable.

The Klub composer.json has "stripe/stripe-php": "^13.14" which resolves 13.18.0 is from April 2024. A quick analysis of the changelog surfaced no breaking changes that should affect Klub.

BUT you would be upgrading the the default API version from 2023-10-16 to 2026-01-28.clover and that would need to be reflected in your Stripe account settings as well.

My suggestion would be to use PHPStan to check for broken methods and upgrade one major version step by step.

Or you wait till the end of February 2026 when Klub v2 is released (free upgrade) which will use HTTP API calls instead of PHP SDKs for all providers.

Thanks for the PHPStan tip to review upgrades. Generally i update things whenever I can to maintain currency. ( simple i know )
