It should be pointed out at prominent position, that this tool expects a local installation of Kakadu in a certain directory and will be not usable otherwise, which means a heavy limitation of any interested parties in trying out the otherwise promising application.
Kakadu and it's proprietary binaries are first mentioned in the Development and Testing section at the very end, which is way too late IMHO.
Further, the README lacks detailed information about the preferred execution environment, besides some, probably outdated, notes on Pillow's prerequisites.
