The GNOME freezes for a few seconds when the clipboard is opened.

Description

After copying a large amount of content, such as a long text of thousands of lines or multiple screenshots, it takes several seconds to open the clipboard.

I know this may sound silly, but of course it'll take that long! Look at what you're trying to do!"

But the main point is that this doesn't happen with Pano Clipboard. I tested both, and Pano can handle massive amounts of content without struggling.

Expected Behavior

It should open the clipboard without causing GNOME to freeze.

Reproduction Steps

1. Either copy a large amount of content (such as text without thousands of lines) or save many images.

2. Try opening the clipboard for the first time in the session.

I've also started to notice this, even with only a handful of screenshots (albeit 4K). This has a significant impact on its usability.

I too observe this. I'm going to be uninstalling this extension until this is fixed, it's really a serious problem.

I've also noticed this with Copyous. Didn't have this issue with Pano.
Takes about 5 secs to show up when I press the short keys to launch the first time and also a when I launch it after a while.

I tried turning off most items under Customization > Items, but it's the same.

Think I should also mention that gnome doesn't freeze (at least for me), but it takes about 5 seconds for copyous to show. I'm able to move my mouse during the time. If however, I click somewhere, the copyous closes as soon as it opens.

I'm having the same issue. I would love to use Copyous, but as I frequently copy very large amounts of text, I can't. It lags way too much.
