I think what would be useful is to have this repo as as the "centralization point" for CI and best practices.

  • Base Rust stuff (e.g. cargo-deny, the default license allowlist, clippy lints)
  • CI stuff: automated release workflows in particular. But I was also thinking of adding e.g. https://github.com/peter-evans/rebase
  • Combining CI+Rust: Most of our crates can use a simple default workflow, but we need exceptions

As far as synchronizing things then...I think we could use a combination of https://docs.github.com/en/actions/how-tos/reuse-automations/reuse-workflows and AI to do sync.
