[BUG] Open with VS Code doesn't open into the WSL file system

Current Behavior

Clicking "Open with VS Code" on my WSL instance does open VS Code, but just as an empty window and not in the WSL file system.

Minor issue: it would also be nice if the console window that opens when you click Open with VS Code were hidden, or at least exits automatically after launching VS Code.

Expected Behavior

I'm assuming "Open with VS Code" should do the same thing as when you run code $HOME in WSL, but correct me if I'm wrong.
