Log Rotation configuration

I want to have more control over log rotation for scheduled pods in Kubernates in my Bottlerocket OS nodes.

I suppose I have to configure kubelet parameter via user-data for configurable settings

• kubernetes | Bottlerocket

But then I also wanted the possibility to control the size of data disc for Bottlerocket OS on my nodes, this is still not feasible to me, see - #4061 (comment)

How to you suggest to proceed with the issue?

Hi, Looking at the linked post it appears that your question was answered.

Just to recap, the user-data would be the right way to set kubernetes settings for logging.

Bottlerocket supports two discs with an immutable root volume at /dev/xvda and a data volume at /dev/xvdb. The data volume is the one you should modify to the size that you need. All other volumes should mount via CSI drivers.

The specific process to change the default size of the data volume would depend on how you are launching your nodes. For quick testing I like to use the --block-device-mapping option under ec2 run-instances with the AWS CLI

I agree with what I have read. I provision using Terraform, I think I should be totally able to achieve this as you guys showed to me.
