Hi there! Firstly, I'm sorry you are having issues with Battle.NET It has been a bit turbulent as of late. But there is a fix. I personally have found that installing runner "kron4ek-wine-10.7-amd64" and then installing Battle.NET has seemed to fix it for me. Additionally, just running with wine 10 or above, will also work fine (but battle.net may not work, so you might have to find an alternative method to running that launcher (steam proton experimental??) Anyways, try the runner up above, then install battle.net. If you have games installed from before, just point to those directories and it should be able to find the games accordingly. Now to the real talk.. don't threaten to ditch Linux to go for windows because windows is easier. You know as much as anyone else when you move to Linux, there will be complications with running WINDOWS NATIVE applications. You gotta understand Linux as Linux, and learn to use Linux as Linux. If you cant be asked with these kind of shenanigans or hiccups. Then go windows, no one is stopping you or forcing you to use Linux (YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANNA USE..). But saying that Linux is such a problem, because of your incompetence is straight up just a lie. Linux was never the problem, the version of wine runner profile was/is or the method of setup. I understand your frustration, believe me... been there :) But you cant blame Linux for the situation, when you have put yourself in that situation. That being said, i hope everything works out for you! |

I can not get battlenet to work properly despite a combination of settings and launchers. No matter what I try I get the error BLZBNTBNA00000005 on the home and games tabs in battlenet. I am beyond frustrated and have given up on trying anything found on google or youtube which seems to be speculation. I am very close to ditching the idea of gaming on linux and switching to windows this is such a problem. Is there someone who can help?
I have no idea what to even try or if I should look at log files which I do not know how to find. Any help is appreciated/
