that is the limitation of the new sharing mechanism that allows you now to share searches. You can go around it by enabling directory flattening:
then sharing the search result. |

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I considered that option, but as a photographer, I prefer to have the model see different shots in different folders rather than a single list of all the files. :( |

I think technically it is possible to write an extension to restore this
functionality for fixed folder shares. But that you would need to figure
out on your.
Eventually I think it worth restoring this feature, but I dont think I will
have time for that over the next year

I'll have to create my own compilation. :(

So sorry to hear this, I have close to 1000 folders on there and flattening is not an option. Seems that currently only option is stick on that old version and make sure that I won't accidentally update PiGallery anymore. Currently I'm stuck on TrueNAS version 1.2.3 App Version 2.0.0, is there a way to get latest version before losing subfolder sharing? |

Hi! I've recently noticed that subfolders are no longer accessible when I share a folder link.
Previously, when I shared a top-level folder, its subfolders were visible and navigable through the shared link. Now, only the immediate contents of the shared folder are shown — subfolders appear but are either empty or inaccessible.
Is this a known change or a bug?
Was recursive folder sharing intentionally removed or restricted in recent versions?
Any info or clarification would be appreciated — I rely on subfolder sharing to let clients browse full sets.
Thanks in advance!
