USB audio not working

So I have a Phoenix automotive screen with Android 13 it works but I can't select the USB audio I can only select built in mics and the USB audio comes up only with connections next to the UART I have it connect via aux but it has ground loop noise

Yeah I have seen this issue on some other Android head units. Unfortunately this means that the head unit is not showing your USB audio device as a valid input device. This is usually on the system level and likely not something we can fix on the Orbit side.

Can you see what Android version you have in your system settings? It may help narrow-down a solution.

Unfortunately I think this is the nature of a lot of these custom Android-based head units. I have thought of some workarounds but they almost always involve additional hardware (i.e. bluetooth audio input, etc.)

Oh ok it shows up as a serial device to be more specific it’s on android 13 version TP1A.220624.014_20250424-1503

I called the makers of the screen and they said the settings are fixed I can’t change them so the only mics I can use are the factory mic for the truck and one I can connect via a 3.5 mm but it only has the right channel. I connected a Bluetooth module it sounds real clear no loop noise but it has a small battery if I connect it to charge it gets that exact same loop noise. I’m not sure if the usb audio would clear up the loop noise although it would be nice not having to open 2 apps to get xm going.

A work around maybe would be to be able to connect serial devices to the audio side released as a beta so not everyone downloads it I wish I could help but I’m more on the hardware side of things I found that the grounds on the Dynavin cable were flipped using a volt meter so the bare wire is chassis ground pin 1 and the audio was pin 5 blue wire
