Description
I am trying to build a Lily58 Pro with the keycap layout as:
12 x Saddle
1 x Saddle Homing
12 x Saddle Tilted
3 x Thumb
1 x 1.5U Thumb V
The grouping done for production works really well for keyboards with 3 rows because it is built on a sound assumption that tilting will be required more than the normal/saddle. However, this assumption falls apart for those with more than 3 rows. You either have to create your own .stl files containing a 3x3 matrix (hard for people like me who have no skill in 3D modelling or printing), print individually (more costly), or end up with a lot of extra tilted.
Below, I have forcefully dragged a fellow lily58 to make the point that the same keycap layout used for 3-row keyboards doesn't work well with 4-row layouts.
Along the lines of @arialdomartini 's request, I am wondering if @braindefender you'd consider making a less tilted version, like maybe 7 degrees? My use case is I have a lily58 layout, I am currently using saddle tilted for both first and second rows, it feels really nice to type second rows but not so much for the first row. Maybe I should just use regular saddle version for second rows π€

Now, I do understand maintaining Production with all keycap permutations is probably not in the scope of this project. However, I believe making a 3x3 for saddle and normal would make using these keycaps a lot easier for a good number of builders.
Regardless of the decision. Thank you for your work!
