Hi,
I have just noticed that a bunch of new sensors tracking Device energy consumption has appeared. This seems to me useful in principle, but for example the Fibaro devices with energy meters all have configuration settings which allow you to include the device's power/energy consumption in the normal power/energy entities already. So with the Powercalc sensors added, it is easy to double count.
I do appreciate these to some extent, since one can separate the IoT energy tax from just the normal energy use on the loads connected to the plugs. But in that case, would it not make sense to have a similar set of sensors for the light bulbs -- maybe just treat the standby power as a fixed "device" power and assume it doesn't change when the bulb is on. This would let the user separate the light part from the IoT part and group all the IoT parts together.
In fact -- it would be great to have a single "domain" group sensor for all the device energy consumption, (again being careful not to double count) just to see how much one wastes per year while pretending to be saving money. :-D
