Twinkly lights

Hi! I have ordered twinkly dots. Is it possible to add them with a measurement using Shelly plug S? Otherwise it's a feature request from me.

You mean you have a Shelly Plug S and you would provide the measurements? Or am I misunderstanding your question?

I see this are addressable leds, which means each light can have a different color.
Only thing which can be controlled through HA is the brightness regarding to this documentation: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/twinkly/.

So you'll first need to check if there is a lot of different power variations for the different effects. Keep it the same brightness and switch to different lighting scenes and see if the power consumption stays more of less the same on your Shelly plug.
When this is not the case I don't see how we can adopt this light in the powercalc library to create a virtual profile of.

I see. I looked a bit in the upcoming 2022.12 version and there will be some additions to the Twinkly integration. I'll wait a bit and see if it makes it easier.

With the latest version I can now control different effects. Would that make it easier to provide measurements?

It's very complicated, because in the first place powercalc has no support for it yet with the LUT method and measure tooling we provide.
But also there are a lot of effects probably and they can also change anytime (new effects can be added by twinkly).

I would suggest that you run a few effects first and see how they compare with the power consumption.
You can use the measure tool to measure the average power during x seconds.

For example to take record for 60 seconds use:
