Ofc when using a switch the device_energy is expected to only measure the devices own power usage, but for lights, the energy should measure also measure the 'power' and integral that into the device_energy?

Utility meters in Home Assistant reset after certain cycles.
Yearly utility meters reset at 1 january, monthly utility meters 1st day of the month, etc.

So that would make it logical that all the utility meters have a low value now.

You do confirm that for these lights the actual power use age is taken into account in the energy total sensors?

Powercalc is just using the Riemann sum and utility meters helpers (which are core components) for this calculation. These should integrate the power in watt to kWh over time.
Your kWh values seems quite right to me for lights when I do some quick calculations.

Let's assume your light is using 4 watt on average and you have it on 8 hours a day. Yesterday we were 13 days into 2023.
Calculate the Wh: 4 * 8 * 13 = 416 Wh. That would be 416 / 1000 = 0.416. Which is quite close to the values in your screenshot.

Not sure what kWh values you are expecting exactly for a LED bulb?

Guess you are right for the low values in the first week or so of the year ...

I'll keep a close look and be relieved to see how energy efficient they all are ;-)
