Entity Unavailable

I have an entity that is part of a group that is at the edge of my Wi-Fi and will become unavailable at times. This makes the powercalc entity also unavailable. Is there an option to ignore the unavailable entities instead?

I don’t have that option, is that because it is a group of both powercalc and reel sensors?

I see what you mean. This option is only available for individual power sensors currently in the GUI, I will add it to group as well (probably today).

I was thinking about this some more, but this can cause issues because the energy sensor of the group will go up and down depending on the availability of the problematic sensor. This will cause issues probably with wrong amount being added to long term statistics (which is used in energy dashboard).

I will see if it's somehow possible to retrieve the last correct state of the sensor and add that to the group sensor.

So for example let's assume you have a group sensor consisting of sensor.a_energy and sensor.b_energy.

Initial state of the sensors:
sensor.a_power = 1 kWh
sensor.b_power = 2 kWh

The group sensor will be 3 kWh

Now sensor.b_power becomes unavailable.
The power sensor will read 1 kWh (which is incorrect).

I will see if I can change the code to retrieve the last not unavailable state, so the group sensors stays at 3 kWh.
