Negative consumption

Dear all,

I have the following bug: The total consumption graphs dipped (might be due to a power outage) - which itself does not make sens:.

Anyway, this dip is only in consumption, not the power sensor. Because of this dip, my daily energy dashboard reports wrong figures:

(340 kWh Geschirrspüler = dish washer is more a 2-years-consumption than a daily one :)

I have some of these issues in the last months. Do you have any idea on how to fix this?

One workaround:

• Record the wrong values manually
• Create a sensor where I substract the wrong values from the consumption and report the helper sensor in the energy dashboard.

I don't know sorry.

Powercalc uses Riemann sum sensor under the hood.
Same as you can do manually.
Devices & Entities -> Helpers -> Create helper.

So it seems to be an issue with that HA core code.

I suggest you to create a second energy sensor manually using the helpers. When you have same bug with the manually defined sensor than it's a core bug/issue.
And I suggest you to report at home-assistant/core github repository.
