How to deal with different measurement

For new devices, it is easy. There is only one measurement and a PR and that gets hopefully accepted. But for existing devices in the library, it is not as easy.

To get to the point. I measured the IKEA Inspelling as well and my values are quite different.

-  "standby_power": 0.23,
-  "standby_power_on": 0.8,
+  "standby_power": 0.172,
+    "standby_power_on": 0.575,

How should I proceed in this case?

• ignore the problem as PowerCalc already has an entry
• Claim that my measurement device is probably better (*) and make a PR to replace the original values with mine
• get an average between the values and make a PR for that?

(*) A DMM that has native power measurement capabilities (Gossen 29S).

@schwabe I would say if measurements are taken with more expensive / precise equipment we should go with that and replace current measurements.
Goal is to have the best approximation, it would never be 100% scientifically correct.

@RubenKelevra What's your opinion about this?
