Adding smart switch without built-in powermeter does not ask how much power the connected device is consuming

Hi! I thought there was a step in the configuration flow for adding smart switches without power meter, where I could input the power consumption of the connected device (when device is on). But I never get that prompt. I only ever see the standby and standby_on power draw.

Only way for me to get the power draw of the connected device is to add a manually configured PowerCalc device.

"The profile will provide self-usage measurements for the smart switch itself, and will ask the user to provide the power consumption of the connected device." But I never get asked this question when adding auto detected or Library device through GUI.

Is it not supposed to be a step in between step 2 and 3 where I can input what the connected device consumes (watts) when the switch is turned on?

Yes should be,
But checking the Tradfri control outlet profile it is set to only_self_usage: true.

Which is the setting for "Smart switch with powermeter".

When this smart plug does not have power reporting possibilities this setting is wrong and must be corrected to only_self_usage: false.
Could you verify this?

I modified this file: /homeassistant/.storage/powercalc_profiles/ikea/TRADFRI control outlet/model.json

And changed to only_self_usage: false

Now the config flow looks correct! Thanks for the quick reply!

@bramstroker , checked and these files also need to be corrected. They does not have any power meter, only on/off.
