Configuration style feature and documentation

powercalc documentation uses the the legacy configuration style e.g:

sensor:
  - platfrom: powercalc
    entity_id:
  - platfrom: powercalc
    entity_id:

Is the modern style supported?

powercalc:
  sensor:
    - entity_id:
    - entity_id:

[bramstroker]

I did not have a brought look into this yet, and I did not see any mention in developer blogs or documentation for custom component developers.
I saw mqtt platform was migrating to this new structure.
Will have a look into the future what is needed to adopt to this new configuration structure and if this is mandatory.
