Intl Extension not working

Hello,

I'm developing a symfony webapp (sf 6.3 and php 8.2) for a lambda with the brefphp/bref bundle (v2.1.3). I have an error because the extension intl is missing. I added the php.ini with extension=intl in the php/conf.d/ directory.

When i execute "exec('pĥp -m', $output, $retval);" i have not intl extension in the list. I use arn:aws:lambda:eu-west-1:534081306603:layer:php-82-fpm:48 layer.

I don't understand
Can you help me ?

Does get_loaded_extensions() also not returns int in the list?

Can you also try using an intl function to see if it exists?

Edit: I saw you said I have an error because the extension intl is missing so I guess it is indeed not loaded for some reason 🤔

Can you try with extension=intl.so in the php.ini file? Just in case. I'm not sure what's happening here.

the error is : The Symfony\Polyfill\Intl\Icu\Locale::setDefault() is not implemented. Please install the "intl" extension for full localization capabilities.

i try extension=intl.so and extension=intl

That's really weird. If you are able to provide an example project that reproduces (e.g. a GitHub repository) that would be helpful! I'd be able to help debug it.

Encountered the same error - using the full extension path worked for me
extension=/opt/bref/extensions/intl.so

OR

setting the entension_dir and enabling the extension
extension_dir=/opt/bref/extensions
extension=intl.so
