4.0 now in main branch

9 years ago I pushed the first commit of this library. It has grown a lot since then, and at least some people have found it useful, despite its faults.

Dart has changed a lot since I started it, and there are a lot of things I would have done differently now. So I spent some time rewriting the library for a big 4.0 release. Much of the new API is not backwards compatible, but it is much more flexible now and I hope it won't cause too many issues.

I will publish the 4.0 release in the next day or so.
