can't open discord

Hello, I'm not sure if i need some kind of dependencies , I just downloaded the release build.

P.S im new to mac os as a whole.

Run in terminal:
xattr -cr /Applications/Discord.app

after -cr , if you renamed the app, you should leave a space and then drag and drop the apple silicon version of discord from finder into terminal to get the file path

Pretty much just because the dev cant sign the app I think

Thanks! I've been messing with it since this issue was posted. When I build an open the DMGs on my end it works fine, but downloading the releases from Github was giving me the same error. I assume you're right that it has something to do with signing so I'll look into that, I'm pretty new to electron especially on Mac so bear with me.

I've been usign mac os for the last few day's and i already hate it..
I can't even disable the stupid mouse and scroll acceleration :v , but thanks for the help. I will try it later.

I was a lifelong user of windows before switching 3 years back, if you tough it out, you won't regret it. There's a lot more I wish I could show but I can't lol.
As for mouse acceleration, the app smooze or whatever companion mouse app you use can take care of it. Otherwise you can find a terminal command online for it.
