enableRecurringEvents should only affect how the UI behaves, *not* what events are returned from getEvents

It should be used to decide whether the editor should show the recurring UI, and also if using the object form, the default action when editing an occurrence (this event, or all future events)

But it should *not* affect when events are returned from `getEvents` and therefore what events are rendered.

Recurring events should be rendered. It is a bug to *not* render them.
