https://buf.build/: Failure: 403 Forbidden

I receive 403 error either in CLI or in web-browser when trying to open any https://buf.build/* address.

$ LC_ALL=POSIX make build
Generating Go from gRPC/Proto
/.../buf-at-ver-v1.24.0 generate --path .build/proto
Failure: 403 Forbidden
make: *** [Makefile:59: buf_generate] Error 1

My current IP is Helsinki now.

I found a bunch of similar issues in the main issue queue here: https://github.com/bufbuild/buf/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20403

The last one #2734 ends with a @nicksnyder 's message saying that no new issues should be created. Well this one is not an issue, but a discussion thread. The thing is Nick gives a link to the docs section on the https://buf.build/ website which is obviously not accessible now: 403.

I tried also to use web.archive.org to find that page, but none was found.
There's probably something wrong with the website configuration.

Would someone please kindly copy-paste here that docs section?

• Not sure however how fresh it is.

From our docs:

We block access to all BSR instances from any IP address that Google classifies as being located in a country sanctioned by the US OFAC. Trying to access the BSR from these IP addresses results in a 403: Forbidden error.

If you believe your IP addresses are being categorized erroneously, you can report the issue directly to Google.
