Feature Request: Insert contact to user phonebook

Nice plugin!

Is it planned on the roadmap to allow the app to insert contacts into the user phonebook?

I tried using cordova-plugin-contacts but I get an error when the api is called on runtime.

thx! I think the corodova-contacts plugin was deprecated, right? You're not the first one asking that. But it's not planned until now. Could you tell me your usecase? What would you need create, update, delete?

@Idrimi My current usecase is only to add contacts at this time, I don't need to change or remove contacts for the app I'm building.

But the funny thing is, I somehow managed to make the deprecated plugin work:

• On iOS, I needed to add a description for the contacts access permission on the Info.plist.
• On Android, I needed to add a plugin to request the permission for the contacts on the runtime, just before actually doing the insert.

Sorry, I know this is off-topic here but I had to document this somewhere 😅

glad tho hear that you made it work. Funny that it is only the permission settings which cause the conflict in the cordova plugin. I guess the trouble your facing now, is that you can't kill your platforms anymore without resetting the permission description again (My experience with cordova is that you have to kill the platforms quite often. That's why I try to avoid cordova) . Check the new repo in the cap community here: https://github.com/capacitor-community/contacts. I'll be maintaining the plugin there, and probably make it CRUD. Probably iOS first as I'm not an Android expert at all. If you're fit in Android development your welcome to contribute. ;)
