π Snake 2.0 is Live
The classic snake game embedded in this project has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. Here's what changed:
π What's New
Infinite Progression System
The game now starts at a 3Γ3 grid and expands by one row/column every time you fill it completely β 3Γ3 β 4Γ4 β 5Γ5 β and so on, forever. The board size stays fixed on screen; only the internal grid density grows, so it gets genuinely harder without feeling cheap.
π₯ Combo Multiplier
Eat food fast enough to chain a streak β hit Γ2, then Γ3 multipliers. A fire badge shows your live combo in the header.
π΅ Retro Sound Effects
Built with Web Audio API β no dependencies. Ascending pitch on eat (higher with each combo), death crunch, and a victory chord on level up.
βΈ Pause / Resume
Press
PorSpacemid-game. Countdown 3β2β1 before every round so you never die in the first half-second.π Multi-Food at Higher Levels
Level 3+ spawns 2 foods simultaneously. Level 6+ spawns 3. Keeps late-game grids interesting.
π Snake Eyes + Body Fade
The head now has directional eyes that follow your movement. Body segments fade toward the tail for a polished look.
π Post-Game Stats
Game over screen now shows: level reached, grid size, foods eaten, and time survived.
π± Mobile Ready
Swipe gestures + on-screen D-pad (auto-hidden on desktop).
Pull the latest and give it a run. Feedback and high scores welcome below. π
