Word persistence between RTD modes in Poet Assistant

Hi Carmen,

Am I wrong to recall words' persistent
As I switched tools within the Assistant?
What I last did select
Would remain and connect
But of late it seems that's non-existant.

As I switch between R, T, and D
I no longer same present word see
I sure hope you can fix
What I think has gone nix
... By the way, is this tool only "free"?

Please contact me if my poem makes my technical request obscure... or where to e-transfer a bribe :)

PS2: With your tool I now write a 3-verse, personalized birthday poem for my wife, our 6 children, their 6 spouses, our 25 grandchildren, and for them 4 grand-spouses(?), and now 1 great-granddaughter. (=43!) Love ya!

What lovely bug report I find today
about a strange behavior, a regression.
Forgive me, my reply has some delay.
But now I must proceed to ask a question.

I'm not completely sure to understand,
perhaps you might consider me obtuse.
But could you kindly lend a helping hand,
with details which would help to reproduce?

For instance, "clicked in search bar, searched 'dismiss',
in rhymer tab found 'diss', and then clicked 'T'.
Went back to rhymer, what I saw was this:..."
With step by step instructions I will see.

It might be simpler to describe in prose
the bug. But up to you, I'll not impose.

🤣this😂is😅priceless Hi Carmen, You are a gem! Here comes the prose... 1. I've selected a word "x" in my editor with my growing poem. 2. I then choose Rhymer from the popup, hoping to find a rhyming word 3. I discover nothing to my liking there 4. I decide word "x" needs an alternate word "y" for better likelihood of a rhyme word 5. While at my unfruitful list of rhyme words I click on T for the thesaurus Or, I choose D - maybe I don't understand my word "x" in the first place, hoping either will give me a better word for "x" 6. But the thesaurus and dictionary search inputs are either blank, asking for "Lookup a word" or show the word from a previous seearch I expected to still see my word "x" persist as input for the new T or D investigation 7. Or, if I click on the glass, as suggested, would at least expect my last word to be at the top of the history list AHA..... !!!!! EUREKA !!!! BREAKING OBSERVATION.... (literally just now) I quickly thought I'd confirm the problem to myself, and I discover something I'd not noticed before... If I simply open the Rhymer app independently then enter word "x" as search term into any of the 3 modes then word "x" persists in the other 2 modes But, if I access it from a word selection popup - no persistence So, just a slight inconsistency between how the app is accessed, yes? This also confirms that I thought that such persistence initially existed, and wrongly thought it got lost. Remember, initially, before you fixed enabling the text selection popup app access, I was only able to use the app as standalone, and there persistence worked. But after you fixed the popup access, I've only accessed it from the text selection popup in my poem editor and there it does not work. Hey... that should really help - I hope! I hope this prose is clear, But with your smarts, no fear! You've given me your ear, I'll now sit back and cheer! Thanks for your interest, Carmen!!!!!
