Would it be possible to also integrate alerts for heatwave and maybe fire hazards (where these are available)?

Hi, I can't find public resources for fire reports... Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri - Dipartimento della Protezione Civile.
For heatwave, you can refer to the phenomena. (I don't know with which criteria they are added on the map, I preferred to intercept the phenomena based on the radius from home).

Anyway, Meteoalarm seems to have access to regional data and has this kind of alert.
