@react-native-vector-icons monorepo as new default?

I am using the v5.12.5

I noticed this error, and also vs code shows it as the import for react-native-icons is changing to a monorepo, (Its a far easier install too), perhaps that should become the preferred way of providing the icons for react-native-paper?

@workspace:. doesn't provide react-native-vector-icons (p81e00), requested by react-native-paper

Would be nice to resolve this, as thats the direction that the icons are moving in...

+1 for this.

The only way to get up to date icons (new version, paper icon versions for material lags soo far behind) is to use the monorepo now and import the icon libs you want to use,@react-native-vector-icons/material-design-icons for example.

Problem is, this will make all paper components with icons to stop working on Android.

add an alias to the babel config could partially solve the problem for now

In my case adding the icon component to use in PaperProvider worked.
