Failed to load tasks

When using the pomodoro feature I'm getting a "failed to load tasks" error. I have changed my settings to identify tasks by "property > kind > task". If I change this to any other "kind" entry it works ("property > kind > project" or "property > kind > space"). I do not have any folders excluded from the system. Is there any sort of error log were I can get more details on this error?
I am on 4.0.5
