Description
Tommy's archive page, https://digital.archives.caltech.edu/collections/OralHistories/browse.html, presents a nice piece of HTML for sorting by name and year. He is use data attribute for the sort.
Should the A_to_ZUL do the sorting of the UL or rely on the UL list being already sorted?
The current implementation of A_to_ZUL assumes the UL list is already sorted and the LI lacks data attributes. E.g.
<li>Doiel, R. S. (2025)</li>If A_to_ZUL tracked the data attributes it could offer to sort by the ones found. It would need to also resort if necessary the UL's LI if needed. I would need to swap on the A to Z list for a year list in this case. The navigation would be come two levels "sort type" (sorted by name or sorted by year) with the Just to list being "A ... Z" or "2025 ... 1900".
<li data-year="2025" data-name="Doiel, R. S.">Doiel, R. S. (2025)</lI>
