Add regex soles

I was running through this function and encountered a couple of small issues and fixed them. But right at the end there's an error regarding the add_node argument. I'm not really sure what that is, but it looks like it's required for the function to run to completion. Just leaving this here for 2026!

this is due to the functin requiring the nodes for both components (regex dictionary, user entries) - Tami has flagged this as well and it's an easy fix.
