Doc page for source-data #11

Description

@stevencarlislewalker

derived-data folders have a doc page -- source-data should have one two.

Some thoughts:

  • Can contain sub folders of datasets and metadata files
  • Any metadata files in a folder needs to relate to all datasets in the folder, not particular ones
  • if metadata files are specific to particular datasets, they need to be together in a single folder
  • The metadata in some source folders may refer to others as their source (e.g. a scanned PDF is the source of an Excel file that is its digitized version)
  • Datasets that have this is-source-of relationship must be explicitly linked using appropriate DataCite metadata fields
  • If there are any source datasets, at least one of them must be explicitly linked at the direct source of each derived dataset (if such a derived dataset exists)
  • Some data sources will have no source-data directory (e.g. when derived data are/were created from some source external to IIDDA), some will have no derived-data (e.g. when source data are considered ready for release as-is), and other data sources will have both
