Description
This is an ideal task for anyone with some knowledge of Spring Boot, who is willing to spend 90 minutes testing our latest tutorial and providing their honest feedback about the instructions and tasks.
Background
Charmcraft contains native support for six web app frameworks, including Spring Boot. The framework support includes a tutorial to create a simple “Hello, world” app, package its contents into an OCI-compliant image and corresponding charm, and deploy the app using Juju. While some of the tutorials have undergone rigorous testing to verify that the steps work and the instructions make sense, the Spring Boot tutorial has yet to be tested.
What we need
We are looking for someone with some prior experience with Spring Boot to sit down with us for 90 minutes and run through the tutorial. You will need a working microphone and the ability to share your screen so we can follow along with your progress. In the call, an engineer will be present in case you run into any technical issues. Throughout the session, we will encourage you to ask questions and think aloud, sharing any and all feedback you may have about the tutorial.
The tutorial uses Canonical tools like Rockcraft, Charmcraft and Juju, but you don’t need any prior knowledge or experience in order to complete the tutorial.
Outcome
On completion of the session, the Platform Engineering team will discuss your experiences and make changes to the Spring Boot tutorial based on your feedback.
