Use Project title instead of folder name in Project filter dropdown #1176

Describe the need of your request
JetBrains IDEs can assign custom name to each project. This generally allow to give them names independent of the folder they reside in.
I personally utilise this heavily as most of my projects are in folders with a very generic name under parent folders with project specific names. (This is makes sense to me as most projects has lots of other files to manage, that should not be visible for the IDE - see below.)
This in turn makes the project filter dropdown look like this:

Proposed solution
Provide the ability to use the IDE managed Project names instead of folder names in the filter dropdown. I'd also argue that it should be the default, as it is the default for the IDE itself:
Additional context
It is also a bit interesting why the _ characters are removed in the filter dropdown from the folder names, but I guess that's not much of an issue, especially if they would be replaced by the actual Project titles.
