List item text colour inconsistent with main body text

After years of using the Workbench I noticed for the first time today that the colour of text in list items is different from that of text in paragraphs. The difference is subtle, but perceptible if you look closely. The main body text is dark grey (#383838) and I think the list item text is plain black (#000000).

I believe the dark grey is less likely to cause eye strain so we should update the CSS to make the list text match the grey of the main body text.

Hey @tobyhodges - could you give me a link to a specific example of this so I can see the exact CSS that's causing it?

The screengrab above was taken from https://carpentries.github.io/lesson-development-training/reflecting.html, a bullet list about halfway down the page. Only a very subtle difference in text color but I do think they are different.
