Is it possible to get the subtotal of a condition at item level

I'm not sure if this should be a feature request or a call for help ;-) even so, we're trying to split out the line nett value and tax nett value at an item level. It would be neat to have a method such as: 

`Cart::itemConditionTotal($item,$type);`

Or is this possible already? :-)
